Praying through Philippians

Praying through Philippians

Father, I thank You for your peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ and for the
privilege of participating in grace of the Gospel. I thank You that I can be confident that
You began a good work in me and will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Father, let Your love abound in me more an

discernment so that I may be able to approve the things that are excellent so that I may
be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ. Please fill me with the fruit of
righteousness that can only come through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of You,
my Father in Heaven.
Help me Father to view all my circumstances as an opportunity for the greater progress
of the gospel as I trust in you and seek you for the courage and boldness to speak your
word without fear.
Father, help never to speak your word in envy, strife or selfish ambitions but rather from
good will out of my love for your Son Jesus and to always rejoice that the gospel is
being preached and Christ is proclaimed no matter what the motives of others may be.
Help me Lord, to have the Spirit of Jesus Christ in earnest expectation and hope and to
not be ashamed in anything but rather that, with all boldness, Christ will now and always
be exalted in my body whether by life or by death. For I know Father that for me to live
is Christ and to die is gain. As You grant me life Father, I will live it in fruitful labor in Your
Son Jesus toward the progress of my fellow brothers and sisters and reaching the lost.
Father, help me to conduct myself in a manner that is worthy of the Gospel of Christ,
standing firm in one spirit and mind, striving together with my brothers and sisters in
Christ for the faith of the gospel. Help me to do this without fear of man’s persecution
knowing that this is a sign of destruction for them but of salvation for me that comes
from you, oh God my Father.
Father help me to understand and realize fully that it has been granted to me for Christ’s
sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, experiencing the same
conflicts of all believers everywhere and of those who have gone before me.
Father, I am encouraged in Your love for me in Christ and thankful for the fellowship of
the Spirit and your affection and compassion I receive through The Holy Spirit and ask
that you would enable me to maintain the same with my brothers and sisters and be
united in spirit and intent on this one purpose.
Help me Father to do nothing out of selfish or empty conceit, but instead, to have a
mind of humility in regarding others as more important than myself. Help me to not
merely look out for my own personal interests but also for the interests of others. Father,
grant me to have this attitude which was also in my Lord Jesus Christ who emptied
Himself of all His equality with you Father, and took the form of a bond-servant and was
made in the likeness of men and humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of
death on a cross.
Praying through Philippians
You have highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every
name and I bow my knee and confess with my tongue that Jesus Christ is Lord to your
glory, Father – Amen!
Lord, grant me the strength and resolve to work out my salvation with fear and
trembling, knowing that it is You, God, who is at work in me, both to will and to work for
Your good pleasure.
Father, help me to do all things without grumbling or disputing, forgive me for the times I
have done this in the past. Help me to prove myself to be blameless and innocent as
Your child, living above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. I
pray that I may appear as a light to the world, holding fast the word of life, so that in the
day of Christ there will be reason to glory that my race and toil was not in vain nor was
those who partook in my growth and fruitfulness so that we may all share in the joy of
the Lord, our strength!
Father, grant me the discernment to recognize and beware of the those the apostle Paul
called dogs and evil workers of the false circumcision. I thank You that I am of the true
circumcision, of those who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus.
Lord, I pray that I will put no confidence in the flesh no matter what I have or may have
accomplished in the flesh, and whatever things were gain to me, those things I have
counted loss for the sake of Christ. And even more so, I pray that I will count all things
to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.
Father let me be not afraid to suffer the loss of all things if it is your will, and count them
as rubbish so that I may gain Christ and be found in Him not having a righteousness of
my own derived from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ.
Help me to put on the righteousness on the basis of faith which comes from You, oh
God. That I may know Your Son Jesus and the power of His resurrection and the
fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, in order that I may attain to
the resurrection from the dead.
Father, I know that I have not already obtained it or have already become perfect so I
ask for the strength and courage to press on so that I may lay hold of that for which I
was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. I purpose to forget what lies behind and reach forward
to what lies ahead, so help me God, to to press on toward the goal for the prize of the
upward call to which You have called me in Christ Jesus.
Father help me to have no other attitude than this and to keep living by that same
standard to which I have attained. Help me to observe and follow the example of those
who walk in obedience to Christ. Keep me from walking as an enemy of the cross of
Christ and not to set my mind on earthly things and not to be as those who’s glory is in
their shame and whose god is their appetite and who’s end is destruction.
Praying through Philippians
Thank You Father, that my citizenship is in heaven. I wait eagerly for my Savior and
Lord Jesus Christ who will transform this humble state of my body into conformity with
the body of His glory by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things
to Himself – Amen.
Lord, help me to live in harmony with all my brothers and sisters who labor in You and
whose names are written in the book of life. Let me rejoice in these things always and to
have a gentle spirit that would be known to all men.
Lord, I know that You are near, let me not be anxious for nothing, but in everything, help
me to pray and make supplication always with thanksgiving and make my requests
known to You, Father. I thank You for Your peace which surpasses all of my
comprehension. Let it guard my heart and my mind in Your Son, Christ Jesus and help
me to think on the things that are true and honorable, right and pure, lovely and of good
repute. Help me to dwell on the things that excellent and are worthy of praise and help
me to practice the things I have been taught through Your Spirit in me and in those who
You have purposed in my life to teach me and for me to learn from.
Oh God of peace be with me I pray in Jesus Name – Amen!
