Father, today I thank You for sending Jesus who left His place in heaven for you and
humbled himself in obedience to You to do Your will. And that by doing so, He took away
the first covenant and established the second so that by it I have been sanctified
through His body that was offered up as a pleasing sacrifice for the forgiveness of my
sins once and for all.
Thank You that after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, He sat down at Your
right hand and is to this day, waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.
Thank You that through His one offering He has perfected forever me and my fellow
brothers and sisters who are being sanctified.
Thank You that the Holy Spirit my Helper, witnesses to me that You have put Your laws
in my heart and written them in my mind and have remembered my sins and lawless
deeds no more.
Today I enter in with reverent boldness to Your holiest place by the blood of Jesus and
draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.
My heart is sprinkled from an evil conscience and my body washed with pure water by a
new and living way which You consecrated for me, through the veil which is Jesus’ flesh.
I thank You that He is the High Priest over me and all of Your house and I will hold fast
to my confession of my hope without wavering because You have promised and You are
faithful to keep your promises.
Father, I will consider my brothers and sisters in order to stir up love and good works
and will not forsake the assembling of myself with other believers. help me not to make
a habit of neglecting this but instead to exhort my brothers and sisters more and more
as I see the Day of our redemption approaching.
Jesus, help me not to sin willfully, help me not to trample the Son of God underfoot nor
treat the blood of the covenant by which I was sanctified as a common thing. Lord
Jesus, keep me from insulting the Spirit of Grace and falling into Your hands of
judgment.
Today I will recall the former days after being illuminated and not cast away my
confidence which has great reward and realize that I have need of endurance so that
after doing Your will, I may receive the promise.
Father, help me not to be counted with those who would draw back to perdition for I
know Your soul does not have pleasure in such but instead grant me the grace to be of
those who believe to the saving of my soul.
Praying Through Hebrews 10
The Just shall live by faith, therefore I put my faith in the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen. By this faith, I obtain with my elders a good testimony
and understand that things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
