Father in Heaven, Holy is Your Name. Today I offer to You my body soul and spirit as a
living sacrifice. May it be pleasing in Your sight according to the faith entrusted me. I
know that without it, it is impossible to please You. I Believe that You are God my Father
and You reward those who diligently seek You.
Father, I look to the faith of Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Sarah who
all died in faith confessing that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth and were
looking toward a heavenly country and a holy city which has foundations, whose builder
and maker is God.
Father, I realize that the faith of these and many other forefathers and mothers, was
tested and they acted in faith accordance to Your promises and not their circumstances.
Many of them suffered a great price for acting in the faith and yet obtained a good
testimony even though they did not live to see it because it was Your will that they
should not be made perfect apart from us.
Because of these things and the fact that I am surrounded by such a great cloud of
witnesses, I will lay aside every weight and sin which so easily ensnares me. Father,
grant me the endurance to run the race that is set before me as I look to Your Son,
Jesus who is the author and finisher of my faith and who for the joy that was set before
Him endured the cross, despised the shame, and sat down at the right hand of Your
throne and is my advocate who makes intercession for me and all believers that our
faith would not fail us and that we have been purchased by His blood.
Father, I consider my Savior Jesus and all that He suffered for me and ask for greater
light of this revelation knowledge and understanding in order to grasp the height, width
and depth of Your love for me and the hope to which I have been called.
Father, I do not despise Your chastening knowing that Your scourging and discipline
proves that I am your son and I have been received by You and have the awesome
privilege of partaking in Your Holiness. Although it is not pleasant and can be very
difficult at times, I know that if I accept Your discipline and are trained by it, I will
experience the yield of the peaceful fruit of righteousness.
Father, strengthen my hands which tend to hang down, and my feeble knees which tend
to be weak and make straight paths for my feet to walk in so that what is lame will not
be dislocated but instead receive Your healing.
Help me Father, to pursue peace with all people, and the holiness that allows me to see
You, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Help me to look carefully and not to fall short of
Your grace. Lord, let not a root of bitterness spring up in my heart that causes trouble
and defiles my soul. Lord help me take heed of Esau’s error and turn from fornication
and profanity and greed.
Hebrews 11-12
Father today, I come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly
Jerusalem with an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church
of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to You oh God, the Judge of all, to the
spirits of just men made perfect and to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to
the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than the blood of Abel.
Father, I do not refuse You, for You have spoken to me through Your Son Jesus and I
accept the grace and faith given to me to believe in His Name to be saved. And
because I am receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, I ask for more of Your
grace by which i may serve You acceptably with reverence and godly fear, for You oh
God are a consuming fire, consume me in Your love and grace and cleanse my body,
soul and spirit that Your Holy Spirit may dwell in it without grief.
Thank You Father, Son and Holy Spirit – Amen!
